very attractive american art deco style machine age bent tubular brass table or desk reading lamp possibly fabricated by faries or markel. the single electric lamp retains the original chrome-plated finish. the streamlined style custard glass reflector or shade features baked black enameled concentric or "speed" rings towards the bottom. the portable fixture contains a pivoting ball and socket joint for adjusting the angle of the light source. the push button socket is original and fully functional. rewired with age appropriate lamp cord and plug.
