group of four original 19th century antique american eastlake style interior residential ornamental cast brass passage door keyhole escutcheons designed and fabricated by the p. & f. corbin co., new britain, ct. the popular "brocade" pattern keyplate was designed and patented by george s. barkentin in april of 1882. the escutcheon features a unique field pattern consisting of lightly incised circular rosettes. the surface patina is mostly uniform throughout. each keyhole measures 1 1/4 x 2 1/8 inches. priced for the lot.
