one of two original salvaged chicago 19th century american antique exterior solid cast bronze metal store door thumblatch handles fabricated by the yale & towne mfg. co., stamford, ct.
the refinished bronze handle contains a finely turned and tapered oversized handle accentuated with ball finials.
the thumblatch mechanism is original and intact. the commercial store door handle contains a circular opening for use with a cylinder lock. measures approximately 15 x 3 inches.
