19th century original and intact antique american victorian era varnished solid oak wood ball-and-stick interior residential fretwork with opposed brackets

elegantly designed solid oak wood interior residential victorian era stick-and-ball fretwork likely designed and fabricated by the northwestern grilleworks, chicago, il. the double-sided panel contains a centrally located spoked wheel, flanked by multiple rods adorned with solid wood balls arranged in a distinctive fashion. the supporting opposed brackets below contain three evenly-spaced diminutive and finely turned spindles. the fretwork panel was salvaged from a chicago graystone constructed around 1892. only one available. good overall condition, with all decorative elements intact. measures 72 3/4 x 2 1/4 x 24 inches.
