original c. 1875-80 american ornamental cast iron banded rim interior residential passage size antique doorknob. likely fabricated by the hopkins & dickinson mfg. co., new york city, ny. the doorknob features a unique interconnected palmette design motif surrounding a ring containing a floral rosette. minor surface wear. mostly uniform surface patina. measures approximately 2 1/4 inches in diameter.
