outstanding heavy duty antique american industrial oversized cast iron machine base salvaged from a chicago area foundry complex. the interlocking channeled segments forming an x-shaped base are structurally sound and stable. the rigid components have been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the x-shaped machine shop base contains tabs with pre-drilled holes for mounting against a machine and to the floor. the exact fabricator is not known. very unique and visually distinctive in design and/or configuration. the channeled iron segments are free from cracks, breaks, and repairs. measures 33 x 33 x 24 inches.
