original c. 1880's interior residential ornamental cast brass eastlake style antique american doorknob designed and fabricated by the p. & f. corbin co., new britain, ct. the drum-shaped doorknob features a border comprised of a repeating greek key, sometimes referred to as a meander or greek fret. centrally located rosette contains a beaded border surrounded by a lightly incised textured field pattern. nicely aged surface patina left untouched. measures approximately 2 1/8 inches in diameter.
