original and completely intact vintage art deco machine age electric wall mount interior theater exit light fixture. the streamlined cylindrical socket housing is comprised of a maroon colored plastic with light incised bands on the top and bottom. the single socket accepts a standard incandescent light bulb that channels concentrated light through the clear plastic panel containing red lettering. this type of sign is an early precursor to the popular "edge lit" led signs found in today's market. the exit sign was removed a theater built in the early 1940's. measures 14 1/2 x 6 inches. rare find.
