heavy duty american antique industrial wrought and cast iron telescoping factory machine shop base possibly fabricated by the burke machinery co., cleveland, oh. the largest tapered pedestal segment is bolted tightly to a solid and sturdy three-legged base with pre-drilled holes for anchoring into the floor. the additional extensions or segments are held in place with modified threaded bolts containing t-handles. the incredibly heavy and very robust machine base has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the base measures approximately 22 x 34 inches.
