all original and intact early 20th century american antique industrial freestanding cast iron double spool holder with weighted tapered base. the exact fabricator is not known. the tubular rod supporting the spool's detachable stand or base is original and structurally sound and stable. the bent steel rods mounted along the back and within the center of each perforated circular plate can removed with ease. the base contains three screw holes for mounting flush against the counter or a tabletop. each and every detachable component has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer.
