exceptionally well-built and highly stylized american machine age stationary school classroom desk chair designed and fabricated by the heywood-wakefield furniture company, menominee, mi. the super streamlined style desk contains a sleek brazed joint tubular steel frame with distinctive book holder. the contoured backrest, saddle seat and spacious tablet arm or desk are comprised of solid maple wood with original varnished finish left intact. overall structurally sound and intact. steel components have been brushed down to bare metal and treated with a clear coat lacquer. seat height measures 17 inches.
