original 19th century antique american ornamental cast brass "geometric" pattern doorknob backplates or escutcheons designed and fabricated by f.c. linde & co., cresskill, nj. the backplates were salvaged from a chicago church undergoing demolition. multiple matching escutcheons available. each backplate contains a protruding thimble, single keyhole and screw holes for mounting purposes. the surface patina is mostly uniform throughout. priced for the pair.
