matching set of early 20th century antique american interior passage door "mantua" pattern doorknob backplates or escutcheons designed and fabricated by the p. & f. corbin co., new britain, ct. the decorative backplates are comprised of stamped steel with largely intact oxidized copper-plated finish. the original thimbles are tightly affixed to the backside of the doorknob escutcheons. measures 8-3/4" x 2-1/2". priced for the pair.
