three all original antique american late 1860's or early 1870's privy dug light cobalt blue colored glass "blob top' soda or mineral water bottles fabricated by the wiliam mccully glass works of pittsburgh, pa. the chicago privy dug bottles are embossed "w.h.h." "chicago ill". the bottle bodies are a "gravitating" shape, with long and steep shoulders. the applied oversized blob top collars or free from cracks. the embossed lettering exhibit slight case wear down the center of the bottles. the hexagonal mug bases are smooth with single dots in the center. the key and hinge mold lines are evident along the bottom and sides of the bases and bodies. surface wear and crudities consistent with age.
