original and intact american depression era c. 1930's brushed cast iron compact pedestal base. the exact fabricator is not known. likely used in an outdoor setting to support a small statue. the four-sided base with protruding beveled edges has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the low-lying pedestal base is structurally sound and solid. great overall condition, considering age. measures 10 x 10 x 14 inches.
