stunning oversized solid birch wood victorian era salvaged chicago rowhouse interior pier mirror with archtop opening

exceptional original and largely intact late 19th or early 20th century antique american victorian era eestnading darkly stained birch wood pier mirror possibly fabricated by the east rockford mantel company, rockford, ills. the oversized pier mirror or console features are a seldom seen archtop opening where the original mirror was mounted (removed long ago). the pier mirror has a bench, flanking turned and tapered columns, and ionic capitals. the corners above the arch are bedecked with intricate gesso ornament and centrally located corbel. the protruding header features dentil molding, beading, and winged cherubs. the varnished finish is mostly uniform throughout.
