original and intact american industrial all-metal two tier bookshelf designed and fabricated by the gaylord brothers, syracuse, ny. the low-lying stationary shelving unit contains two pressed and folded steel shelves supported by bent tubular legs. the original baked blue enameled finish remains in great overall condition. salvaged from a chicago public library. lightly incised manufacturer markings identify fabricator. measures 29 x 17 x 31 inches.
