c. 1930's single-sided antique american industrial solid cast bronze "general electric" manufacturer name plaque likely removed from a late-1930's diesel-electric railroad locomotive engine. the massive plaque was likely designed and fabricated by or for the the general electric co., schenectady, n.y., u.s.a. the plaque contains a nicely aged and mostly uniform aged surface patina. the electric locomotive plaque contains a multitude of holes for securing tightly against the engine or possibly the locomotive's generator. the centrally located monogrammed logo has changed little since inception. the original monogrammed circular logo was trademarked on september 18, 1900. measures 30 inches in length.
