c. 1918 original single-sided antique american industrial stamped steel factory freight elevator cab or car "4000 lbs. capacity" informational plaque designed and fabricated for a f. rosenberg elevator (milwaukee, wisc.). stamped steel plaque was removed from an old freight elevator shortly before the building housing it was demolished. other plaques and the push button control box were removed from the same elevator. the additional items are listed in their respective categories. the original baked black enameled inlay remains largely intact. the brass plated finish used on the embossed markings (e.g., letters) has worn considerably with time. measures 8 1/4 x 2 3/4 inches.
