late 1920's antique american industrial four-legged riveted joint chicago factory machine shop stationary stool designed and fabricated by the angled steel stool company, plainwell, mich. the robust stool retains the original solid oak wood circular-shaped seat with the original paper manufacturer label affixed to the underside. the riveted joint angled steel base with inward turned ball feel (a distinctive design element of the angled steel company's stools) has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. four similar angled steel stools were recently salvaged from a recently shuttered chicago factory complex. the curved footrest is original to the stool. measures 13 x 15 x 30 inches high.
