original 19th century american victorian era ornamental cast iron exterior commercial door entrance door thumblatch handle with a uniform brushed metal finish. the single backplate with handle was likely fabricated by the russell & erwin mfg. co., new britain, ct. the ornamental cast iron thumblatch is intact and in working condition.
