original early 20th century chicago graystone entrance or vestibule size doorknob designed and fabricated by the reading hardware company, reading, pa. the ornamented brass "belfort" pattern doorknob has been lightly cleaned. the rococo style doorknob contains a very intricate detailing along the face with very little surface wear evident. the doorknob was salvaged from a chicago graystone residence undergoing demolition. measures 2 1/2 in diameter x 2 1/2 inches in depth.
