single highly desirable refinished american industrial late 1940's fully adjustable telescoping "adjustrite" four-legged tubular steel factory stationary stool

late 1940's vintage american industrial telescoping "adjustrite" pressed and folded steel stationary factory stool with an all-metal backless seat. the stool features two relatively movable members combined or overlapping for telescopic movement, with one of the members secured to the seat of the stool and other member secured to the legs and/or base of the stool. the coacting movable members function in such a way to lock the seat at various selected positions. the bent tubular steel legs are structurally sound and stable. the lightweight stool has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a cleat coat lacquer. fabricated by the adjusto equipment co., bowling green, oh. the first incarnation was designed and patented by james a campbell in the early 1940's.
