rare and completely intact antique late nineteenth century light aqua glass hutchinson style blobtop fabricated for stack & company in chicago, il. the tall, slim body is finished with a squat neck and oval blobtop. the front body is embossed "stack & co / chicago" arching around a diamond logo inside which is embossed "s & co," surrounded by "trade / mark regis / tered." the maker's mark is embossed on the reverse heel, "a.g.w.l." indicating it was fabricated by american glass works in pittsburgh, pennsylvania after 1880. the base is smooth and embossed "s & co." the bottle retains original closure. crudities are typical of its age and date of manufacture, including surface wear and slight discoloration from having been dug.
