one of two matching all original antique american interior salvaged chicago ice cream parlor or soda fountain pendant light featuring a two-part prismatic glass "schoolhouse" type reflector with bottom acorn finial. the thick holophane glass pendant shade was designed and fabricated by the holophane company, inc., new york city, ny. the two sections are held together with decorative metal clips located along the rim or band where the sections meet. the shades are free from cracks or breaks. the shade fitters offered (sold with the shade) are either pressed metal ceiling mount or contain canopy, chain and fitter. the two-part prismatic glass shades date to the 1930's. priced individually. measures 9 1/2 inches in diameter x 8 inches high.
