completely intact and all original early 1930's antique american industrial green porcelain enameled notable chicago foundry interior pendant light fixture designed and fabricated by the benjamin electric mfg. co., chicago, il. the type "rr" cold-rolled steel "standard" bowl-shaped reflector retains the original robust vitreous or porcelain enameled finish over steel, with the white reflective coating along the underside. the tapered socket housing contains a single ceramic incandescent light bulb standard size socket. the threaded steel post or pipe with unique ball and socket joint ceiling "cap" or flange are original to the fixture. the attachment between the post and integrated reflector/socket housing was fabricated by westinghouse. several identical green porcelain foundry pedant light reflectors are being salvaged from this sprawling industrial complex. measures 14 x 31 inches.
