two distinct early 20th century american stamped steel interior residential passage door backplates possibly fabricated by lockwood or sargent. the copper-plated finish (likely remnants of a brass "wash") remains largely intact. the wrought steel thimbles or collars are fastened tightly to the backplates. measure approximately 7 1/4 x 2 1/4 inches. priced for the set.
