very unique and distinctive oversized early 20th century american antique industrial three-phase electrostatic ground detector designed and patented by william pratt for fabricator general electric, schenectady, n.y., u.s.a. the large circular-shaped casing is comprised of copper with a slightly protruding plated cast iron base plate with surface wear evident. the faceplate contains a plurality of centrally located indicators governed by multiple wires of the multiple circuit. the black enameled finish has been touched up. the slightly raised lettering contains a copper finish. the glass encased indicator panel retains the original flat steel arrows. great overall condition.
