all original and structurally sound late 19th or early 20th century antique american industrial freestanding "companion" foot-operated wood grindstone machine base featuring a newly added solid cherry wood tabletop or platform. the diminutive single stationary four-legged cast iron side table or console is ideal for residential and/or commercial settings. the curvaceous cast iron base has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the antique american machine base was designed and fabricated by the millers falls company, millers falls, mass. the repurposed table is structurally sound and solid.
