original and intact early 20th century salvaged chicago american industrial cast iron machine shop four-legged stationary table base with newly added old growth pine wood top with sanded, stained, and sealed finish. the multi-purpose side table or work station was designed and fabricated by or for the la salle machine works, chicago, ills. the heavy duty machine base has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the cast iron deck with raised edges can be detached for the four legged stationary base. the pine wood top is tightly affixed to the base.
