unique antique american industrial freestanding diminutive display stand featuring refinished cast iron legs or brackets fabricated by or for the sheline company, chicago, il. the unusually shaped and petite-sized antique american industrial cast iron freestanding brackets were likely used with a roller for dispensing paper, yarn, string, etc. the bases contain circular-shaped feet with grooves for securing against a flat surface. the refinished brackets feature embossed markings with the company's name. the brackets have been brushed and sanded down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. a newly added solid hickory wood tabletop with recessed apron has been firmly attached to the brackets.
