remarkable 1880s edbrooke and burnham-designed chicago varnished quartered oak wood residential built-in cabinet with intact mirror and beveled glass cabinet doors

the two-piece 1880s residential built-in cabinet retains the original varnished finish. wear and tear consistent with age. the top cabinet has two opposed cabinet doors with original brass key and functioning locks. the beveled clear glass cabinet doors are free from damage. the back mirror (not pictured) is original and intact. the bottom cabinet retains the original lockable pull-out drawers with functioning mortise locks and key (there are two separate or unique skeleton keys required to lock the top and bottom doors and drawers. the cast brass handles are original but a few of the drop-down handles are missing (see images). the cabinet is structurally sound and stable. a very unique and distinctive custom-designed 19th century residential architectural artifact.
