original c. 1930's depression era american industrial double door factory machine shop cold-rolled steel storage cabinet salvaged from a chicago factory undergoing demolition. the mobile cabinet was likely fabricated by the lyon metallic mfg. co., aurora, ills., with modifications evident. the thick welded joint steel platform top has been partially refinished in order to preserve the nicely weathered old green paint finish. the tubular steel legs and the cabinet itself has been brushed down bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the hinged cabinet doors contain a welded joint lockable hasp and four matching surface or flush mount hinges. measures 30 x 20 x 32 1/2 inches.
