strong and sturdy american depression era factory machine shop workbench or table with a solid maple wood top tightly affixed to the bases below. the refinished tabletop contains nice wear and tear from decades of use in a workshop setting. the two matching pressed and folded heavy gauge steel bases are attributed to the new britain machine company, new britain, ct. the riveted joint angled steel bases contain flared feel for added stability and pre-drilled holed for anchoring against the floor. the tabletop's existing hole can be "plugged" or simple used to one's advantage as an outlet for various electrical cords. the legs and angled stretchers have been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer to prevent surface corrosion. measures 60 x 24 x 33 1/4 inches
