original c. 1930's american art deco style freestanding occasional table purportedly used in a zephyr fleet railroad lounge car. the exact foundry or furniture fabricator is not known. the table contains a substantially heavy cast iron table base with a visually distinctive "stepped" ring design motif. the newly added circular-shaped pine wood tabletop has been stained and sealed. the cast iron base has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. measures approximately 21 inches high with a diameter of 22 inches.
