rare vibrantly colored original early 20th century exceptional art nouveau style leaded art glass window salvaged from chicago residence

largely intact finely crafted c. 1905-09 american art nouveau style leaded art glass residential transom window fabricated by h. eberhardt & co. of chicago, il. a variation of this particular window is illustrated in their 1909 glass catalog identified simply as "285-n." the brilliantly colored highly stylized style window contains ripple textured variegated opalescent glass providing surprising depth and intense luminosity. the art glass was possibly fabricated by tiffany studios - in the form of "stock glass" offered to the trade. the long and narrow transom window is free from excessive bowing and or damaged caming. a few minor hairline cracks evident. original varnished birch wood sash frame intact. the wonderfully executed salvaged from a chicago residence demolished long ago. measures approximately 60 x 2 x 21 1/2 inches.
