originally and remarkably intact 19th century antique american solid nickel-plated cast brass interior residential lavatory integrated double "hot" and "cold" faucet handles sink or shower valve unit designed and fabricated by james b. clow & sons, chicago, ill. the fanciful turned and tapered handles with ball finials feature distinctive and fanciful lightly incised lettering. the spigot likely contained a hose or some other removable attachment. the threaded fittings retain the original circular-shaped rosettes or backplates for mounting flush against the wall. the victorian era plumbing device likely was fabricated between 1885-1890.
