very unique early 20th century custom-built foot-operated cast iron punch press used in the fabrication of pinned buttons and other small pocket devices for the parisian novelty co. the device was brought over from the company's original location on la salle to the present factory that was built in 1927. each and every component was built specifically for the parisian novelty company. the original wood pattern used in making the cast iron press was discovered in one of the factory's many hidden rooms; since then, we have tracked down nearly every machine or machine components that correspond to the wood patterns. the pattern is comprised of two sections with original painted finish.
