remarkable c. 1940's deeply embossed heavy gauge die cut steel single-sided american dead end road or street sign. retains the original centrally located retroreflective safety device, in the form of a circular cluster containing "cat's eye" red glass spheres. the yellow and black enameled finish is original and largely intact. the sign was fabricated by the dominion traffic sign & signal co., richmond, va, measures 18 x 18 inches.
