c. 1950's vintage american industrial telescoping "adjustrite" pressed and folded steel factory assembly line stools with circular steel swivel seats. the stools feature two relatively movable members combined or overlapping for telescopic movement, with one of the members secured to the seat of the stool and other member secured to the legs and/or base of the stool. the coacting movable members function in such a way to lock the seat at various selected positions. the bent tubular steel legs are structurally sound and stable. original gunship gray baked enameled finish. natural wear and tear evident. fabricated by the adjusto equipment co., bowling green, oh. the first incarnation was designed and patented by james a campbell in the early 1940's. seat height adjusts from 18 to 26 inches. large quantity available. salvaged from an old detroit automobile assembly plant. priced for the pair.
