original c. 1915-20 antique american industrial heavy duty cast iron workbench bases designed and fabricated by the w.a. jones foundry & mach co., chicago, il. the matching bases are comprised entirely of iron with a mostly uniform brushed metal finish sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the table bench bases were salvaged from the boylston steam specialties factory building located in downtown chicago. the floor plates or "feet" contained pre-drilled holes for anchoring into the floor. priced for the pair. bases both measure 29 3/4 x 4 1/4 x 33 1/2 inches.
