19th century american victorian era exterior chicago two-flat residential roofline stamped galvanized sheet iron cornice rondel designed and fabricated by the knisely & miller, 129 & 131 so. clinton street, chicago, ills. the oversized rondel contains a sunburst or fan design sunken or recessed into a circular-shaped raised edge flange or ring. the rondel was apart of a larger unadorned sheet metal pyramidal-shaped pediment. the two-flat red brick residence has since been demolished. additional components from the elaborate bracketed cornice were salvaged, and will be listed along with the rondel. in addition, a fireplace mantel, milllwork and hardware were removed from the residence. the stained glass windows and other architectural artifacts were removed by the developer before urban remains and the wrecker arrived. the rondel contains a nicely aged white paint finish with allover crazing. measures approximately 32 inches in diameter x 3 1/2 inches in depth.
