matching set of original american art deco style figural trojan horse head bookends designed and fabricated by champion products inc., los angeles, ca. during the 1930's there was competition between trophy makers dodge, trophy craft and champion. each company produced works that were virtually identical in idea or style. it is unknown who copied who, but dodge and champion did produced some of the finest metalware in the form of trophies, bookends, ashtrays, etc. the machine age cast zinc bookends retain the original combination "sunray" and "antique bronze finish," consisting of a deep and rich high gloss two tone color scheme. surface wear evident. measure 5 x 4 x 6 inches. priced for the pair.
