original late 19th or early 20th century antique american interior residential single electric pendant light fixture with unsigned art glass swirl panel and bulbous form shade

completely intact turn of the century antique american late victorian era single electric pendant hallway or pantry ceiling light fixture designed and fabricated in part by the beardslee chandelier manufacturing co., chicago, ill. the fixture contains a decorative brass socket cover with chain and spun yellow brass tapered canopy. the rayon cloth wiring is original to the fixture. the distinctive oversized paneled or multi-faceted swirl art glass gold or orange aurene shade with irridized finish is original to the fixture. the art glass shade was likely fabricated by steuben or quezal. the lip of the shade is not signed. nicely aged surface patina left untouched. shade measures 5 1/2 in diameter x 7 1/2 in height. total height of fixture is 26 1/2 inches.
