single all original and fully functional antique american victorian era ornamental cast bronze and iron residential passage door mortise lock designed and fabricated by the russell & erwin mfg. co., new britain, ct. the early 1870's american mortise lock contains a nicely aged bronze faceplate with intact latch and dead bolts. the cast iron box or case containing the lock's components retains the original baked-on black enameled finish. the original skeleton key is in working condition. great overall shape, considering age.
