c. 1900's original and intact antique american ornamental cast iron interior residential passage door backplate. the exact hardware fabricator is not known. the doorknob backplate contains a uniform brushed metal finish. intricately designed and deeply embossed leafage and scrollwork found on the top and bottom of the backplate. measures approximately 9 x 2 1/2 inches.
