c. 1900's american antique interior residential passage door "windsor" pattern mortise lock fabricated by the reading hardware co., reading, pa. the face plate is comprised of stamped ornamental steel with traces of the original copper-plated finish left intact. the latch bolt remains in working condition. original key lost long ago. measures approximately 7/8 x 5 1/2 x 3 1/8 inches.
