completely intact and well-maintained all original single-sided c. 1940's american cast aluminum "private" hospital examination room sign attributed to the leslie sign company, chicago, il. the reinforced metal sign contains bas-relief lettering with a mostly uniform baked black enameled inlay used to accentuate the raised letters. the two opposed screw holes along the edges are designed to mount the sign flush against the door or wall. surface wear consistent with age. measures 10 3/4 x 2 1/2 inches.
