fully functional c. 1930's antique american industrial reinforced appleton portable foundry machine shop "explosion proof" trouble light designed and fabricated by the appleton electric company, chicago, il. the oversized trouble light contains a black composite handle flanked by robust cast aluminum components. the bulb guard consists of a cast aluminum cage and impact resistant clear glass globe encasing the light bulb and socket. the portable trouble light has a nicely weathered and worn finish. the industrial light fixture was salvaged from the a. finkl & sons foundry currently undergoing demolition. only one available. makes for an ideal repurposed pendant light fixture. measures 17 inches in length x 5 1/2 inches wide.
