early 1920's original single-sided heavy gauge die cut steel "magazines" porcelain enameled sign designed and fabricated by the federal sign company, chicago, ills. the richly colored dark cobalt blue sign contains bold white lettering surrounded by a rounded edge border. the flush mount sign was formerly used at a downtown chicago newsstand. surface wear evident. good condition considering age. measures 40 x 15 inches.
